1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using SentinelScan, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
SentinelScan is a web-based security scanning platform that provides:
- Automated vulnerability scanning of web applications
- Security assessment reports and remediation guidance
- Email breach monitoring and alerts
- Subdomain discovery and reconnaissance
- AI-powered vulnerability analysis and recommendations
- Integration with third-party services (GitHub, etc.)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
To use SentinelScan, you must:
- Create an account using a valid OAuth provider (Google, Microsoft, or GitHub)
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
You are responsible for:
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Ensuring that your use complies with all applicable laws
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You may use SentinelScan to:
- Scan web applications and systems that you own
- Scan systems for which you have explicit written authorization
- Conduct security assessments as part of authorized penetration testing engagements
- Monitor your own organization's security posture
5. Prohibited Activities
You may NOT use SentinelScan to:
- Scan unauthorized targets - Systems you do not own or have written permission to scan
- Launch attacks - Use findings to attack, exploit, or damage any system
- Denial of Service - Conduct scans that intentionally disrupt services
- Data theft - Attempt to extract, copy, or steal data from scanned systems
- Illegal activities - Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Resell or redistribute - Share your account or service access with unauthorized parties
- Reverse engineer - Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our source code
- Automated abuse - Use bots or scripts to abuse the service beyond normal usage
- Circumvent limits - Bypass subscription limits or security measures
We actively monitor for abuse and reserve the right to suspend accounts without notice for violations.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
Our Property: SentinelScan, including its code, design, features, and content, is owned by Blueora and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of our service without permission.
Your Data: You retain ownership of your scan data, reports, and other content you create using the service. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the service.
Feedback: Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us without obligation or compensation.
7. Payment Terms and Billing
For paid subscription plans:
- Pricing: Prices are displayed on our website and may change with 30 days notice
- Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
- Payment Method: All payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Taxes: Prices may not include applicable taxes, which you are responsible for
- Failed Payments: We may suspend access after failed payment attempts
Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
8. Subscription Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You retain access until the end of your paid period
Refunds:
- Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable
- Annual subscriptions may be eligible for a prorated refund within the first 30 days

9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BLUEORA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
- Damages resulting from any third-party services or integrations
- Damages resulting from actions taken based on scan results or recommendations
Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
SENTINELSCAN IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Warranties that scan results will be complete, accurate, or detect all vulnerabilities
- Warranties regarding the accuracy of third-party data (HIBP, etc.)
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Blueora and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third party's rights
- Unauthorized scanning activities
- Any content you submit or transmit through the service
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the United Kingdom, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
13. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution: Before initiating any legal action, you agree to contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve disputes within 30 days.
Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court proceedings, except for claims that may be brought in small claims court.
14. Termination
By You: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through account settings.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:
- You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- Your account shows signs of fraudulent or abusive activity
- Required by law or legal process
- We discontinue the service with reasonable notice
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We may retain your data as required by law or legitimate business purposes.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- We will notify you via email or in-app notification
- Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should discontinue use and close your account.
